Since 2002, we have delivered commercial remodels, tenant improvements, facilities services, and ground-up construction projects for clients in the retail, restaurant/QSR, medical, office, industrial, automotive, entertainment, and financial sectors.We are seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects nationwide. This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a leadership position, communicates proactively, and takes ownership of project success from site preparation through final turnover.This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel to project sites throughout the United States. Employees are home-based between project assignments. Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead daily field operations on commercial construction projects</li><li>Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and trade partners</li><li>Maintain project schedules and support milestone completion</li><li>Promote and enforce jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance</li><li>Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays</li><li>Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, inspections, and site logistics</li><li>Conduct subcontractor coordination and safety meetings</li><li>Maintain daily reports, schedules, photos, and project documentation</li><li>Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, architects, and local officials</li><li>Ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, and jurisdictional requirements</li><li>Assist with project planning, sequencing, and constructability reviews</li><li>Represent REZ professionally on all jobsites and client interactions</li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience</li><li>Ground-up commercial construction experience required</li><li>Strong understanding of sitework, foundations, structural systems, building envelope systems, and construction sequencing</li><li>Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents</li><li>Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities</li><li>Proven ability to identify problems and implement practical solutions</li><li>Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and jobsite safety practices</li><li>Comfortable using technology for reporting, documentation, and communication</li><li>Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>OSHA 30 Certification</li><li>First Aid/CPR Certification</li><li>Procore experience</li><li>Experience managing projects across multiple states and jurisdictions</li><li>Experience in restaurant, retail, medical, office, or light industrial construction</li></ul> Success in This RoleThe ideal candidate is proactive, organized, safety-focused, and comfortable leading fast-paced commercial construction projects with extensive travel requirements.
